About VFW Post 1298

Flesh, Blood, and Community History

Chartered shortly after the conclusion of World War II, VFW Post 1298 was founded by local service members returning home to South-Central Kentucky.

Over the decades, our post evolved alongside our nation's conflicts, welcoming home veterans from Korea, Vietnam, the Gulf War, and the post-9/11 operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

We are actively modernizing our programs to emphasize career transitions, digital health accessibility support, and family-oriented community networks.

Our Core Pillars

The values that drive our decisions, our community work, and our advocacy across Warren County.

Unwavering Camaraderie

We build an inclusive environment where combat veterans of all eras can connect with peers who truly understand the realities of overseas service.

Dedicated Advocacy

From pushing for healthcare expansions at local VA networks to guiding individual claims, we aggressively back those who sacrificed for our nation.

Community Service

Our service didn't end when we took off the uniform. We actively serve Bowling Green through youth scholarships, honor guards, and crisis support systems.
